Thank you very much for being my alarm clock. I needed to be rudely awakened at 0240, not by a nice police officer, but to a bleet bleet noise from some person, who is either too lazy to get out of the cruiser to ask me to move my truck, or just likes to play with his little cop toys. Real professional boys! Go blue! SERVE AND PROTECT. Serve your need to be a power hound, and Protect me from getting too much sleep before I make my 0600 delivery to your little part of the hole. We truck drivers really appreciate having to be harassed in every little "burg" we go to, by bored "officers" who should be looking for, I don't know, criminals, maybe. I glad you were able to remind me, though, why I started hating my job, shortly after I started it, 17 years ago. You want sympathy because some have declared war on the police, you have mine, but damn, have a little sympathy for the low lives YOU are supposed to be looking out for. Would you even feel bad if, after forcing me to move with less than 3 hrs sleep, if I had been involved in an accident and somebody got hurt. Yeah, probably not. I mean after all, it wasn't your brothers in blue, it was just some single mom on her way home. And you thought you were making a difference, right? Let's get this straight at least, you don't like trucks in your town, fine, run us out. But remember, try wiping your ass without paper. We don't want to be, in God knows what hole, nj., any more than you want us here. We would rather be home in our own beds, in our own little hole. We leave our families behind, sometimes for weeks on end, all year long, so you can have your bullets and lattes and new cruisers to play with. You give cops a bad name. You may go home at the end of your shift, in a car we brought to you. You may be with your family every day, in a house we delivered. You can even grab a coffee in the morning, that got there on a truck. But hey, you made the world a safer place tonight, right? By running off the riff raff. The overworked, overtaxed, working stiff just trying to get some sleep. Go back to school and get an education in civility. You want your groceries, and your fast food, and your toys for your job to be fun. Yet, you don't want trucks in your place. Go get it your damn self then.

I want my phone back from you guys!
